3 Must Try Popcorn Flavors

by Charles Pieter

Popcorn has always been the go to treat for movie goers throughout the years. However, you need not go to the movies to sample interesting popcorn flavors. Whether you're hitting the streets or simply buying cheese popcorn online, you must sample the following popcorn flavors that will be sure to make your mouth water.

Chili Cheese Popcorn

There's a way to enjoy cheesy popcorn without actual cheese, so those of you who adhere to a vegan diet or are lactose intolerant can enjoy the spoils of this delicious flavor without compromising your health! Simply substitute nutritional yeast for the cheese. This flavor requires an admixture of the aforementioned nutritional yeast, unsalted butter, a small amount of salt, and chili powder added to your taste. Make sure that you stir the popcorn after drizzling this mixture on top of it in order to ensure that every bite is filled with this rich, spicy, and cheesy flavor.

Cookies and Cream Popcorn

Although dessert popcorn can be an acquired taste, it would be hard to not enjoy this rich, chocolate-based delight. Allow approximately 8 – 10 ounces of white chocolate to sizzle in a pan while adding 2 tablespoons of coconut oil to it. Make sure that the admixture is melted over a low heat and that it is consistently stirred. Afterwards, drizzle this mix over your bowl of popcorn and, afterwards, crush an entire sleeve of white cream and chocolate cookies over the dish. Make sure that everything is mixed well and set the popcorn in your refrigerator for upwards of 20 minutes to allow the chocolate to set.

Honey Butter Popcorn

This is another great popcorn dish that can work well as a simple snack or as a full blown dessert. This dish is just as savory and salty as it is sweet. Take a saucepan and pour in a quarter cup of unsalted butter, set the heat on low. After the butter has sufficiently melted, remove it from the fire and add a quarter cup of honey and salt to taste (half a teaspoon is generally recommended). Whisk in these ingredients and then drizzle them atop of your bowl of popcorn. Stir or shake until every kernel piece of popcorn is well-coated. This is a dish that can be served either piping hot or allowed to set in the refrigerator for upwards of twenty minutes to allow the honey's sweetness to set.

Hopefully, this brief guide has given you some idea of a few delicious popcorn flavors to sample.
